Osprey Orielle Lake Sculptor and Founder International Cheemah Project Jack London Square, Oakland Dear Friends: On behalf of California's 9th Congressional District, I am pleased to welcome you to the special unveiling ceremony for the Cheemah, Mother of the Spirit-Fire scultpure and to recognize its creator, Ms. Osprey Orielle Lake. This eighteen foot bronze monument and its counterparts in Germany and Spain represent the launching of a new international cultural bridge that will promote peace and honor global diversity. I am confident that this statue will be popular and well-visited for years to come. I look forward to its contribution to the vitality of our community and waterfront. |
