Dear Friends,

The City of Oakland in the San Francisco Bay Area of California
has been the recipient of an impressive work of art by renowned
sculptor, Ms. Osprey Orielle Lake.

The Cheemah Monument has been very popular at its location in
Jack London Square at the Port of Oakland. This eighteen-foot
tall bronze monument represents the power of compassion and
peace amongst nations and it contributes to the vitality of our city.

I am very supportive of this addition to our city and hope your city
will also take the opportunity to participate in this meaningful
international project.
